Greetings Your Eminence and fellow AFC Family!
The college ended our Term 3 on a high note with the senior students' Social Night last night. It was full of fun and laughter as the Forms 5's, 6's and 7 displayed their latest moves and grooves!! The Waltz competition was hard to judge or pick the best, as the students have been coached quite well!
Although the students were in uniforms they still look stunning. They were reminded that the annual social event is part and parcel of their holistic education to be holy and whole. Furthermore, their outward beauty merely mirrors their inner beauty.
My one week trip to the US, though tiring, was very fulfilling. It's one of those events where we may have felt physically fatigue but spiritually and mentally uplifting!
I was very pleased that I managed to share with the overall Catholic ex-students and especially the AFC ex-students the directions and mechanisms for our pathways forward. It was great to catch up with lots of ex-students that I haven't seen for quite some time now. It was a proud moment to see Vaea Jr joining the AFC march, as his recent induction onto the Rugby Hall of Fame was indeed a milestone for him and 'Apifo'ou College.
At our last debriefing session with the US Executives Committee, we collectively looked into areas where we need to focus on now. It was very heartening to experience the renewed support and commitment of the AFC ex-students to the college.
To our President and Secretary in USA, please convey my heartfelt gratitude for all the generous hospitality accorded me whilst I was there.
Please pray for our Marist's Retreat which will begin this Sunday evening. Rest assured that you'll be fondly remembered and prayed for during this retreat.
