Construction Updates: Day 33 - 37

Greetings Your Eminence and 'Apifo'ou Family!

The workers on the new classrooms are tireless in their efforts to complete the 2 new buildings. As you can see from the photos, they even worked in the nights and the last 2 Sundays, they started work at 12.05 AM till morning!

A few significant events happened last week: Firstly, the handing over of the school Bus to the college. Mrs. Palelei, Mrs. Ikamui and Mr. Aleki 'Amato represented the Alumni 72-73 and presented a cheque of the remaining funds in their Bank account. I've advised our Bursar to open a new account solely for the operation and maintenance of the bus.

On behalf of the college, parents and ex-students, may I extend our heartfelt gratitude to His Eminence and his Alumni Group 72-73 for their generosity and support for the college over the years.

Last Friday was the Opening Mass for the Academic Year 2019 for all Catholic schools, from Kindergarten to Form 7 and all Technical institutions. The key message was profoundly delivered and heartily accepted by all staff and students. "Listen earnestly, with a heart that genuinely yearns to learn, love, and care."

There were smiling faces around the Father's residence when a box from Australia arrived. Fr. 'Ofa with the generous support of the ex-students in Sydney, family members and friends, managed to fill up the box mainly with sporting items. And in anticipation of the preparations for athletics, rugby, netball, soccer, etc. especially during camping periods, there are sufficient items such as milk, sugar, coffee, tea, and sleeping bags.

On behalf of us all, may I extend our heartfelt gratitude to Frs. 'Alatini & Silito, our ex-students and friends of 'Apifo'ou in Sydney for this great assistance to the college. Malo e 'ofa.

Viva AFC!
