Salutation:
Eastertide Greetings to Your Eminence and fellow Apifo'ou Family!
Admin Briefs
This has been a short week as the college had a break on Monday to recover from the two days of celebrations last week! This week we diverted our focus and energy to the classrooms as we need to make up for time lost due to those celebrations.
Highlanders' Visit
There was excitement at the college today as the Highlanders Team from Otago paid a courtesy visit to the college to honor two of their most prominent players, Frizell and Fakatava. These two AFC ex-students have made it to the All Blacks, something we're very proud of. There's one other AFC ex-student currently in the All Blacks squad, namely 'Ofa Tu'ungafasi who plays prop for the Auckland Blues.
Seen here above is Folau Fakatava delivering an inspiring speech to the staff and students of the college.
Of course, our students are super proud of Fakatava & Frizell, so much so that the college will turn up at Teufaiva Park tomorrow to cheer for these Highlanders!
Sr. Kilisitina Lui SOLN (RIP)
The college was well represented yesterday at the funeral of the late Sr. Kilisitina Lui SOLN. The two Sister colleges, Takuilau and 'Apifo'ou, combined their efforts in farewelling an ex-student of AFC and incumbent Principal of Takuilau. RIP Sr Kilisitina.
Seen here above are the Head Girl and Head Boy of the college, doing their bit. Seen here below are the Principals from the various schools on Tongatapu with their Head Prefects presenting their wreaths to honor their fallen comrade.
It was wonderful to see the students of Takuilau and 'Apifo'ou sharing the various responsibilities in terms of the Pallbearers, Brass Band, and Guard of Honor.
Seen here are the Tonga Principals' Association presenting their gifts to the Mother General of the SOLN, Sr. 'Alisi Naufahu, who travelled from Fiji to attend the funeral.
Seen here above and below are the students from Queen Salote College and Tupou College presenting their gifts and leading the prayers.
Form 7 New Blazers!
Our Form 7 students really look smart in their new blazers! This was a most fitting move as this will be their final year at the college.
USP Alumni
Last night the USP Alumni in Tonga conducted a 'Meet & Greet' function at the Davina to launch a programme that would encourage former scholars of the university to work collaboratively towards helping the rising stars in academia at our respective schools in Tonga. A couple of colleagues traveled from the Laucala Campus in Suva to launch the Project. Since 'Apifo'ou is one of the main breeder schools for the university in Tonga, it's important that we support this initiative.
AFC Ex-Students' Annual General Meeting (AGM)
At the AGM last Saturday, the new office bearers were elected. The newly elected President is Mrs. Polotu Fakafanua Paunga. The other office bearers were re-elected: Vice President - Current Principal

Conclusion
May I take this opportunity to extend to you all our profound gratitude for all your generous support for the college in these historic happenings of the past week.
I pray that the Almighty God will continue to rain down His abundant blessings upon you and the rest of the 'Apifo'ou Family.
Viva AFC!
