Construction Updates: Day 6 - 7

Greetings Your Eminence and AFC family!

The constructions of the 2 classrooms and 2 Toilet blocks are progressing well despite the bad weather! Fr. Lutoviko 'Olie is part of the Labor Team since Day 1 and it's encouraging to the TVET staff and students to see him there each day at the building site.

The foundation for the 2 classrooms is completed and we await the floor and other parts to be delivered from E.M. Jones. They're trying their best to fill the floor-to-be of the toilets with rocks and gravels to be ready for the Houma Parish as they'll come on Thursday to help with the cementing of the floors.

There were two courtesy and surprise visits yesterday. The first from current All Black prop 'Ofa Tu'ungafasi who brought with him the 2015 Blues jerseys, his Christmas gifts to the Marist Club. The 2nd visit was from the Nuku'alofa parish brass band and with their melodious sounds they remind us that it's Christmas time!

Today at 1PM I met with the parents of the students that will be leaving for Australia this Thursday to be part of the 25th Australian Scout Jamboree at Tailem Bend, South Australia. They'll be there from the 20th of December to the 16th of January. Altogether there are 10 students and 1 teacher, Mr. Viliami Fuapau.

Here is a humble request to Fr. Silito, President Pila Suave and our ex-students in Sydney if they could organize something to go visit these AFC students. Malo.

'Ofa lahi atu pea fakamonu'ia atu e teuteu ki he Kilisimasi.

Viva AFC!
