Greetings Your Eminence and fellow AFC family!
On behalf of the 'Apifo'ou Family may I extend our heartfelt condolences for the passing of the legendary Fr. Dave Mullins sm. Requiescat in Pace.
Yesterday and today, our focus is laying the bricks for the toilet block at the St. Mary campus. With the help of professional brick layers like Fetu'umoana Ta'ai and Pila Po'ese, ably supported by Samisoni Manu, we were able to complete this job today.
As you can see from the photos, the laying of bricks is almost complete. It'll be done by the end of today and cementing of beams will be tomorrow. We'll have a break on Monday and Tuesday then resume on Wednesday and Thursday with the laying of bricks for the 2nd toilet block at the St. John campus. Meanwhile, we're working on the platforms for the floors of the 2 new classrooms. We should be able to fix the floors by next week.
We've got visitors now and then as they're eager to see the efforts being put into the reconstruction and construction work at the college. My brothers Fr. Lutoviko (Solomons Is) and Etuate & daughter (NZ) paid a courtesy visit yesterday.
This morning I and Fr. Lutoviko 'Olie joined Fr. Sepa at 'Anana to celebrate his 40th Anniversary of ordination. It was a joyful occasion until the tanoa of kava was mixed at around 6.45 AM! Congratulations Fr. Sepa on behalf of the entire AFC family!
As we prepare to farewell 2018 in the next few days, may God continue to bestow His many blessings upon the family of 'Apifo'ou!
Viva AFC!
